I just wanted to drop y’all a quick email to let you know what’s coming up this weekend at Campbell. We’re back to “normal” in terms of the worship schedule, and so that means 8:20, 9:30, and 10:50 (or so I am told!).
We will celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion this week in all three services. For generations, Methodists have participated in the Lord’s Supper as a way for God’s grace to enter and work in us. In fact John Wesley, who received communion an average of every 5 days of his adult life, called Communion the “grand channel” by which God’s grace is conveyed.
Also this week at the 8:20 service, we will consecrate our Youth Group mission trip, lifting them up in prayer and sending them on their way with all our love and support. I hope you will be here in order to let our youth and their leaders know how important they are to us and to be that “community of Christian encouragement” for them in their service this coming week.
Even though there’s no cake walk this week, it is good to gather together as the church and praise God together, any time – all the time!
See you Sunday!
