Sunday Worship, July 20th.
This Sunday is “Biker Sunday” at Campbell. The Christian Motorcyclists Association will be leading the worship at all three services. Come and experience an uplifting worship as members of the CMA share their message of Hope and Forgiveness. Come and see the display of motorcycles in the front parking lot – if you are in the market for a motorcycle to help with gas costs this will be a great place to window shop and a time to discuss pros and cons with folks who ride them every day.
There will be an All-Church Luncheon following the 10:50 a.m. service. Meal cost is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children ages 2-11.
Good morning, church!
It’s “Biker Sunday” week at Campbell UMC, and I for one am ready to rev it up! Actually I have no idea whatsoever what to expect from the morning, other than knowing that it is going to be a wonderful opportunity to worship together with brothers and sisters in Christ – other than that, I am just going with the flow!
(I guess a more apt description might be, “along for the ride”!)
One of my favorite passages in scripture is the beginning of Hebrews 13, “Let mutual love continue. 2Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.” (NRSV) Campbell is going to be welcoming a whole lot of people this Sunday morning, and I just know that y’all are going to show the hospitality and mutual love that characterizes a vital and vibrant congregation like this one.
There are so many powerful ways to worship God, and we are privileged to be able to share together in one of the most unique ways this Sunday. This would be a wonderful weekend to invite a friend to church! Remember what they say: There are no strangers, just friends you haven’t met yet.
See you in church,
