Dear Campbell UMC Friends –
This week CUMC will have a chance to observe one of the most wonderful moments in the life of a congregation as we celebrate the sacrament of baptism at the 8:20 worship service. We will also receive two new members in the service. An event like this gives all of us a chance to renew our own promises to support the congregation with our own prayers, presence, gifts, and service, even as we welcome new friends in Christ.
What’s your gift? This week, we’ll all have a chance to think about one thing – one little thing each of us might be able to do this week that will make a big “kingdom of God” difference in the world. And as an act of worship, each of us will be invited to bring that gift forward and offer it to God at the altar, making a sincere promise to try, sometime in the coming week, to actually DO that one little thing that might just make a big, big difference. So think and pray now about what that “one little gift” might be for you, and come Sunday ready to give it to God.
Remember, one small voice can teach the world a song!
Grace and Peace, Andy B.
