We are half way through the season of Advent and possibly your gift-giving list is not completed. Don’t stress over the long lines at Target (okay, they are not that long unless you go on Saturday afternoon). Don’t worry about what to get your mother and father in law (they really don’t want that machine that make soda). There is still time to give the gift of clean water in their honor.
This season, Campbell UMC is focusing Alternative Giving on clean water projects in Nicaragua and Haiti. All you have to do is think of those in your life that do not need more stuff, donate to the Advent Alternative Giving, pick out a card from the collection online or in Fellowship Hall and mail or hand deliver to your family or friend.
It is a win-win all around. You are less stressed, your loved one doesn’t have to put out the musical toy you got them instead and someone gets clean water. Don’t go searching for that parking spot, get online at http://itsallaboutthepresence.wordpress.com/giving/ and you can have the rest of your list finished in no time.
Be a blessing this season.
