Blue Sunday is this coming Sunday, April 10th at Campbell UMC and there are all sorts of ways to get involved!
- All are welcome to wear BLUE to church on Sunday!
- All are welcome to stay following worship on Sunday, April 10th to have a talk-back session about what we have heard that morning about child abuse in our community – we will process together, pray together and vision about how we can change what is happening to the most vulnerable among us. Lunch will be available to purchase for $10 each and a nursery will be provided as well. Please RSVP by Friday, April 8th to Pastor Emily at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- You can serve foster children through Ambassadors for Children. April 10th is also National Sibling Day and this awesome organization is sponsoring an event for foster children in the Ozarks area. Some foster siblings get separated to different homes during their time of transition and Ambassadors for Children wants to get them together for a night at Chesterfield Family Center. How can you help? You can find the signup sheet to volunteer for the event itself in the fellowship hall or chat to the Ambassadors for Children reps that will be here on Sunday morning. They need people to signup to volunteer for the event that evening, people to signup to clean up after the event (must be safe sanctuary trained within the last two years for both of these options), and/or sign up to provide kid-friendly snacks, drinks, treats for approximately 250 people. Bring your donations to the church either on Sunday morning or by 5 pm and Pastor Emily will take them to Chesterfield Family Center for you.
